I'm an FDR liberal -- inherited it from my dad. Looking for truth, justice, and the American way. Sometimes these things are difficult to find. Enjoy chatting politics & policy. Great to be here!
Yesterday on PBS Lehrer Newshour, Judy Woodruff interviewed four prominent African-Americans concerning the legacy of Martin Luther King. Here's the link to that transcript:

What I found interesting is that when these people spoke, I found myself nodding my head and saying "Yes. Yes. THIS is what we seek in a President." Not the faux progressive being shoved down our throats in this primary. The contrast between what they had to say and what we have heard from Mr. Obama was striking. In particular Cory Booker and John McWhorter expressed very articulately the view that it is actions, not words, which define the true legacy of Martin Luther King.
Below the fold, extended quotes. No comments from me, as these two people are eloquent far beyond my capabilities.
John Lennon wrote some songs that I find myself thinking about quite often during this primary season. Following are three of my favorites. I have not embedded audio or video, but they're out there if you want to hear them. They are:
"Woman is the [N-word] of the World"
"Give me some Truth"
"Working Class Hero"
Warning - "N-word" is redacted here, but not below the fold.
Today on "The Situation Room" CNN moved out of the realm of simple bias and into the realm of Rush Limbaugh.
Commentators were three men and one woman: Wolf Blitzer, Jack Cafferty, some third guy I don't know, and a woman whose name escapes me. The topic was the MI revote and the fact that Hillary supports it, has claimed that not doing it would be an affront to the rights of MI voters, and has called on Obama to "do the right thing."
So ... what was the content of the ensuing discussion by CNN commentators?
As most folks probably know, each state sends Democratic Senators and Representatives to the convention as superdelegates. In my state, for example, both Senators and my district representative are Democrats and so they are going to the convention as superdelegates. It is possible to see whom they have endorsed, if anyone, by going here:

and looking for your person's name under each candidate. I found my District representative Anna Eshoo in Obama's list and today I wrote her the following letter:
